Academic:

Born in London; graduated with highest honor from Boğaziçi University in International Relations and Political Science, 1992. As a Fulbright Scholar studied at Boston University and received a master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, 1995. Obtained a Ph.D. degree from Marmara University, in Journalism for her thesis on ‘News Interviews: The Art of Asking Questions’, 2006. For 10 years, lectured at Akademi İstanbul, Pera İstanbul, Bahçeşehir U., Kültür U. and Kadir Has U. on Eloquence, Effective Use of Voice & Body Language, Presentation Skills, The Art of Interviewing, Media Relations and News Writing & Editing, 2001-2011.

TV Presenter:

A founding team member of POWER FM, assigned to write and anchor the news, 1992. Known to be the first Turkish journalist working for CNN International in Atlanta where she produced special news packages on issues concerning Middle East, Europe and Balkans. Received the 1998 CNN World Report/Best Economy News Award for her report on the booming Turkish doner kebab industry in Germany. After returning to Turkey, produced and hosted news programs on national TV Channels such as NTV, ATV, TV 8, SKY Turk and TRT 2 for about 15 years. Made a name for herself by conducting exclusive interviews with leading figures in business, politics, culture, arts, sciences, sports and media, and won many TV awards. Accepted to be one of the leading opinion leaders in Turkey, where her speeches and articles about politics receive great coverage in media.
